Football team management
A football team usually has two or three training sessions in the week and a match at the weekend. The squad is larger than the group that walks out, so attendance has to be known before match day.
The shape of the week
Training and the match sit on one calendar. The pitch is a venue with a price: an evening booking and the match-day ground can cost different amounts, and each event keeps its own figure.
A large squad
Not everyone comes to every session. A player replies from the email or the panel, and the coach sees who is coming before thinking about the match squad. A player sees their own attendance and their own fee.
If a club has a senior side and a youth side, they can be sub-teams with separate events. The same model fits hockey or floorball when a club has more than one team.
